About Catherine and Fred Foster:


My intent is to live life as a prayer. It is my practice to meditate every day, practice Tai Chi and Chi Kung before going into the art studio to “play”. When you do what you love it is not “work” but “play”.  What a great life and for me the only way to live.

Over the span of my 37 year art career I have been in the process of combining art and healing energies together to put out to the world. At first my business was two businesses doing the art and healing separate by taking healing clients then doing the art when I had time. It always felt like my heart was being torn a part physically, mentally and spiritually. For the last 15 years I have begun to put the healing into the art to satisfy both passions.

The art training has been in studying with individual artists in Calif. and Washington, learning from every art teacher I could in the Bay Area Jr. Colleges, then attending California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, Calif.  Since we moved to Washington 17 years ago my studies of healing energies expanded. My resume(http://www.catherinefoster.com/Pages/Represented%20by.html) is filled with awards and art shows in galleries and museums but what fills my heart and soul is the continued experience of growing  through the creation of the art.

Fred’s background has been in engineering. He is awesome at taking my vision and creating the support for the art. We make a great team.
