Peace Project
Weaving Peace Through Art with Catherine Foster
The Peace Prevails Project was inspired during a morning meditation. It comes from the desire to serve others through beauty and the healing energies. The project is also a search for my own inner peace. I feel that as I practice being peace others will feel that peace and be inspired to seek their own.
Each piece of artwork in the Peace Prevails Project and all the other artwork that I create is infused with the healing energies by calling in the Reiki energy, shamanic healing, the masters, angels and higher consciousness with the intent that this energy will be forever in the art for whoever is seeking the healing.
Creating art for me is a process of going within, accepting the images as divine gifts and receiving the how to manifest the end product. I have carved 2 printing plates with the words “Peace Prevails” in over 300 languages. I strongly feel that using the present tense of Peace Prevails instead of “May” Peace prevail is important to manifest peace in the world for the truth is Peace is already here. Language is powerful. To weave languages from around the world of "Peace" is a symbol of creating unity in the world.
The art develops through me as I keep a dialogue with the artwork tuning into what it asks for in colors, design and any extras. The art has a mind of its own and all I do is follow the inspired information. It is always a surprise what the piece wants versus what I want to do. This is an ongoing process of letting go and letting the energies that come through take over the creation knowing that the finished piece will be for the highest good.
I live each day and especially while I work on the artwork to be very present in the now infusing love, joy and peace into everything I touch.
